Spring Cave (South Fork) May Close To Protect Bats
While none of the caves in the Rocky Mountain Region have known cases of white-nose syndrome (WNS), bats in the eastern US are dying from it. To prevent the spread of this disease, which could be caused by cavers and their equipment, the Forest Service recommends that you de-contaminate your equipment and clothing before caving and report unusual bat behavior. More information on their website.
